Synopsis by Rob Ferrier

This second episode of King Tut: The Face of Tutankhamun begins with the opening of the tomb itself. As Carter crammed his head and shoulders through a tiny hole and illuminated the room with a candle, his assistants crowded breathlessly behind him. "What do you see?" they asked. "Wonderful things," replied Carter, perhaps the most famous words ever uttered by an archaeologist. What followed is history, the excavation and exhibition of a mountain of gold and other artifacts. Also exhumed may have been an ancient curse, a curse which found its first victim in Carter's patron.
