Jungle Jim (Grant Withers) and Joan Redmond (Betty Jane Rhodes) manage to take cover and avoid the brunt of the explosion from Bruce Redmond's hand grenade. Fleeing, Redmond (Bryant Washburn) is subsequently killed by Joan's lions. After rescuing Malay Mike (Raymond Hatton) and Kolu (Al Duval) from the Cobra's native warriors, Jim learns that the pilot Stephen Hawks (William Royle) is actually a lieutenant in the Royal African Secret Police, in the jungle on a mission to capture the Cobra (Henry Brandon) and his sister Shanghai Lil (Evelyn Brent), both wanted for murder in London. Returning to the Cobra's castle, Jim and Mike are overpowered by the Cobra's palace guard.
