Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein

Joan Redmond (Marianne Andrews of Our Gang fame), a young American girl, is the only survivor of a shipwreck off the coast of Africa. Fifteen years later, Tyler (Selmer Jackson), an attorney, arrives in the jungle in search of the girl, who is the heir to a fortune. But an evil uncle, Bruce Redmond (Bryant Washburn), will do whatever it takes to get rid of little Joan, who is now considered a white goddess by the natives. Redmond has Tyler and a prominent guide, Red Hallahan (Frank McGlynn, Jr.), killed but Hallahan's friends, wild game hunters Jungle Jim (Grant Withers) and Malay Mike (Raymond Hatton), take up the search for both the girl and the killer. In Darkest Africa, the now grown Joan (Betty Jane Rhodes) allows her beastly friends to attack the newcomers and as chapter one reaches its conclusion, a struggling Jungle Jim plummets to what appears to be instant death.
