Synopsis by Sandra Brennan
This "slacker" comedy is set in a small Southern berg in 1990 and centers upon three aimless, unemployed kids in their twenties. They are first seen sitting upon a bench looking at their mail, talking about philosophy and passing the time. Melodramatic Zack, a British immigrant, discusses his aspirations to become a dramatic actor. His pal Pete claims to be an abstract artist, but he's never sold a thing and rarely actually paints. The third benchwarmer, Claudia has a degree in philosophy, but can't seem to hold down a job. Pete has just learned that his uncle Earl has cancer and must undergo chemotherapy. To assist with his pain and resulting nausea, the three decide to find Earl some marijuana. Although there are plenty of dope-smoking weirdos around town, the endeavor isn't as easy as they thought it would be.
