This program documents the life of John Glenn, concentrating on the span of his career from the military to public service. Glenn served in World War II and Korea as a pilot for both the Navy and the Marine Corps. He's most known and revered for his adventures in space. At age 77, he became not only the first American to orbit the earth, but also the oldest person in space. This video includes interviews, historical footage, and segments not included in the original PBS broadcast.
