Synopsis by Robert Firsching
Respected Nikkatsu filmmaker Chusei Sone returned to a level of credibility after something of a fallow period with this well-made softcore melodrama about a couple of live sex performers, Tamiko (Akemi Nijo) and Nakayama (Kazuki Doshita), who are retained as instructors by an impotent man (Hyoe Enoki) hoping to learn how to please his wife (Mariko Hoshi). Unfortunately, the man develops an attraction to Tamiko, and is soon offered a job as her on-stage lover by the twitchy strip-club manager (popular comic actor Taiji Tonoyama). Director Sone approaches potentially sleazy material with uncharacteristic sensitivity, portraying sex workers with compassion and humanity, a rare thing indeed, particularly in exploitation films.
