Synopsis by Perry Seibert

In the documentary Jews & Money, director Lewis Cohen presents the details surrounding the murder of a Jewish man in Paris to investigate the breadth and intensity of anti-Semitism throughout France. The case involved a 23-year old sales clerk who was abducted for ransom because the perpetrators assumed their Jewish victim came from a wealthy family. After three weeks he was released, but had been so brutally treated that he died from the experience. The filmmakers present that case, and showcase the history of Jewish stereotypes, as well as explain how Paris' Muslim immigrants are stoking hatred.
