Synopsis by Eleanor Mannikka
In this feature-length animation, Yuki is the name of a 13-year-old goddess sent to earth to purify the environment, which in this case means killing off the bad guys as well as blanketing the earth in snow -- Yuki's specialty. When Yuki arrives near a small village to stay with some beggars for awhile, she inspires the peasants to revolt against oppressive feudal lords and samurai bandits by taming a wild, white stallion. Although it has a social message, the story tends to be one-dimensional, like its cartoon characters that are unfortunately drawn with limited facial or physical expressiveness.
