As topical today as it was in 1932 -- if not even more so -- It's Tough to Be Famous remains a minor gem, enlivened considerably by a spunky performance by Mary Brian. Brian enjoyed working with Douglas Fairbanks Jr. and their close personal friendship lasted until the actor's death in May of 2000.
