Synopsis by Hans J. Wollstein

Handsome matinee idol Eugene O'Brien starred in this melodrama from producer Lewis J. Selznick. He plays Melville Marley, a young man given a suspended sentence for a crime he didn't commit. Angry at the world in general and at his job as a typewriter salesman in particular, Marley goes to Central Park to end it all. In the park, however, he spots a young girl, Lois (Winifred Westover), who is about to faint from hunger and exhaustion. After securing lodgings for Lois at a nearby boardinghouse, Marley sallies forth with renewed energy to make something of himself. Succeeding in business beyond his wildest dreams, he is soon the owner of a thriving business, with Lois as his stenographer and fiancée.
