Iron Maiden: 12 Wasted Years chronicles the musical career of one of the most popular heavy metal bands in history. Formed in 1976 in London, England, by bassist Steve Harris, the group includes Bruce Dickinson, Dave Murray, Adrian Smith, and Nicko McBrain. Film highlights include interviews with each band member, the road crew, and the artist who created the distinctive Iron Maiden album covers, Derek Riggs. Rare footage from early performances combines with personal stories of the band's development to offer an in-depth look into the band's legacy. Songs featured are "Stranger in a Strange Land," "Charlotte the Harlot," "Running Free," "Women in Uniform," "Total Eclipse," and others.
