John Regan (Edwin Booth Tilton) owns a small steel mill and takes a warm interest in his workers. When he dies, he wills his firm to his daughter Esther (Madlaine Traverse) with the admonition to continue looking out for the employees, and never to sell out to the bigger interests. So when the trust comes around and Esther won't cut a deal, they try dirty tricks to make her capitulate. To fight them, she enlists the help of one of their former employees, Darwin McAllister (George McDaniel). Together with the factory workers, they ensure that a crucial freight shipment successfully makes it to its destination, in spite of the trust's forceful interference.
