A powerful but dangerous artifact sends two men on an important journey in this anime adventure. When the Great Dog Demon loses his life, he gives each of his two sons, Inuyasha and Sesshomaru, a sword which possesses great power beyond its strength as a weapon. However, the Demon also possessed a third sword, the Sounga, which was filled with dark powers; before his death he saw to it that the evil weapon was hidden away where it could not fall into the wrong hands. But several hundred years later, Inuyasha and Sesshomaru, who have become rivals, must set aside their differences in order to prevent the power of the evil sword from spreading.
