Synopsis by Janiss Garza

A ship is wrecked off the coast of Africa, and only three survivors make it to shore: American heiress Jennie Leslie (Kathlyn Williams), hard-drinking regular guy Thomas Blake (Guy Oliver), and a gentleman posing as the aristocratic Cecil Winthrope (Harry Lonsdale), but who, in fact, was Winthrope's valet. Jennie puts her trust in the refined Winthrope, but Blake -- who keeps them from perishing in the wilds -- turns out to be the real deal. Winthrope meets an untimely demise, while Jennie and Blake are rescued mere moments after she agrees to become his wife. The film was made by the Selig company, which had a sizable zoo, and some critics have stated that the whole purpose of the movie was to show off its four-legged stock company. Having Kathlyn Williams as one of the stars helped; she had a great knack for handling wild beasts.
