Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Margarita Fischer stars in Infatuation as Phillis Ladd, the impulsive daughter of railroad president Robert Ladd (Joseph Singleton). In direct defiance of her father's wishes, Phillis marries Cyril Adair (Harry A. Pollard), an itinerant actor. Later on, Phillis begins to believe that her dad's instincts about Cyril were right; unable to hold down a job because of his drinking, he heads back to New York, hoping to start from scratch. Calling in favors from his show-business connections, Mr. Ladd sees to it that Cyril cannot get a job anywhere, further breaking Phillis' heart. But out of desperation springs determination: Cyril cuts out the booze and climbs back up the ladder of success, vindicating himself in the eyes of his wife and father-in-law.
