Director Ian Dunlop filmed the elaborate rituals for the funeral of Aborigine clan leader Malawan over a two-week period in the early 1970s, and this interesting documentary is the edited result. As the culture and lifestyle of the Aborigines emerge in their ceremonies, dances, music, and conversations, it does not take an anthropologist to appreciate their traditions.
