Synopsis by Hal Erickson
The British children's series If You Were Me was targeted at youngsters aged ten to 11. On every half-hour episode, two kids would "swap existences" for one week, each kid moving into the other's home and briefly adopting the other's lifestyle. The most instructive episodes found two children from different ethnic backgrounds spending seven days in one another's shoes. Debuting circa 1968, If You Were Me was sporadically telecast until early 1970.
