Four rookie crooks discover that robbery isn't a game for amateurs after attempting to knock over a convenience store and watching their foolproof plan come hopelessly unraveled. The target was a secluded convenience story in a sleepy Arizona mountain town, and the robbers planned to beat a hasty retreat before the owners even knew what hit them. But a well-armed cop just happened to be in the right place at the wrong time, and after chasing the crooks down the mountain, he managed to get off at least one fatal shot. Now, as the wounded survivors make their way down the mountain while bickering over what to do with the loot, they begin to ponder whether they should with rendezvous with their sultry contact at a nearby trailer park as originally planned, or blaze a trail straight through to Mexico, and presumed freedom.
