Jilted by Joan Bennett, who likes the night life, studious Henry Fonda takes to lecturing on the polymorphism of ants, or some such, at a sleepy college in Vermont, only to run into Bennett again, the lady looking much the same but with a small child (Genee Hall) in tow. That's about all there is to the correctly entitled I Met My Love Again, which marked the screen debut of theater director Joshua Logan. Hollywood legend says that Logan was aided by not only Arthur Ripley on several occasions but also George Cukor which, naturally, he greatly resented. Perhaps this constant changing of directorial styles has something to do with it, but I Met My Love Again does not hold up to too much scrutiny.
