On this cable TV reality series, each episode featured two best friends, both female, who planned each other's weddings. Generally, things proceeded smoothly, though on occasion one or the other of the brides-to-be would make a miscalculation that would result in a wee bit of friction. As pointed out by TV Guide, the series proved beyond doubt something than men have suspected for years: that the poor groom is the least important element of the wedding. 'I Do' Diaries: My Best Friend's Wedding made its Lifetime Network bow on June 8, 2003.
