synopsis
This Pathe "actuality" film was released at the same time as the studio's Home Without Children and, most likely, on the same 1000-foot reel. A group of hunters is seen venturing out into the snowy forests of Hungary. They spot a jack rabbit and open fire, immediately hitting their target. The poor bunny is shown in its death throes, which could not have rested well with members of the recently organized ASPCA. In the typically callous manner of the period, many reviewers found the spectacle of jackrabbits being blown to pieces "exciting" and "fascinating."
