synopsis
Ham Fisher's once-popular comic strip pugilist Joe Palooka returns for another round in the Monogram series. In this episode he and Knobby, his manager must battle it out with a crooked mayor in cahoots with a corrupt promoter. Together, the wrong-doers attempt to trick Palooka's rival Humphrey into signing a contract to lose. Fortunately, the champ is around to make sure that the crooks fail.
