No relation to the Art Linkletter-hosted American series of the same name, the Canadian House Party was seen on a rotating basis in the same Tuesday night slot as the CBC's What's My Line? and Make a Match. On each episode, host Michel Tisseyre interviewed a famous entertainment or sports celebrity. Per the series' title, the guest was filmed in a "characteristic" setting, sometimes his or her own home, sometimes the subject's place of employment. House Party originally aired from October 26, 1954 to February 5, 1955.
