Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Adapted from a play by Max Marcin, House of Glass afforded Clara Kimball Younganother opportunity to emote for the Ages. Thanks to a chain of circumstantial evidence, the innocent heroine (Young) is thrown into jail. The cause of her degradation is a faithless lover, who slithers in and out of the proceedings like a boa constrictor. But with the help of Good Luck and the Good Lord, the heroine manages to overcome adversity. So powerful was the presence of Clara Kimball Young that her male co-stars were reduced to virtual walk-ons; in fact, the reviewer for the trade magazine Variety observed that the actors playing the hero and the villain could have easily switched roles without anyone noticing.
