synopsis
Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Drew starred in a number of comic shorts in the 1910s, generally playing a married couple who find themselves embroiled in various domestic situations that were as common then as they are now. This film uses the old mother-in-law angle. Ma-in-law wants to visit the aquarium but hubby doesn't feel like spending the afternoon with her. He comes up with a load of excuses (sick friends, etc.) to cancel out then takes the day off and goes to Coney Island with the office boy. His wife, however, is invited to Coney Island by a friend, and of course mother comes along. Hubby tries to escape notice, but is eventually caught by his less-than-pleased family.
