Synopsis by Hal Erickson
The boyish appeal of Charles Ray was nearly stretched to the breaking point in His Own Home Town. Ray is cast as Jimmy Duncan, the playboy son of pious small-town minister John Duncan (Andrew Arbuckle). Forced to leave town by his father's self-righteous flock, Jimmy returns with a goodly accumulation of "city smarts" and takes over management of the local newspaper. Embarking upon a crusade against the corrupt politicians who control the town's purse strings, Jimmy learns to his horror that one of the biggest crooks is his own father. The grief he suffers over this revelation is assuaged somewhat by the love of heroine Carol Landis (Katherine MacDonald).
