The son of a temple priest who was shamed into committing suicide by a murderous landlord embarks on a mission of vengeance in this remake of the 1983 cult classic. The story begins as a village priest witnesses a murder, and implicates an influential landlord of the crime in court. Furious, the property owner embarks on a relentless campaign to destroy the priest's reputation. His plan succeeds when the shamed priest takes his own life. Now at the mercy of his father's accuser, the priest's son flees to Mumbai and starts a new life. Years later, he returns home determined to settle the score with the landlord. But his plan goes awry when he falls hopelessly in love with the daughter of the very man he sought to destroy. Meanwhile, the most shocking twist of all is yet to come.
