Synopsis by Janiss Garza
William Russell's star was ascending when this picture was made. Broker Oliver Strong (Russell) has made a fortune on Wall Street and is about to share his wealth by marrying his sweetheart, Elsie Burleigh (Charlotte Burton). But Addison Gray (Harry Keenan), his rival in both love and business, ruins him. Elsie's mercenary mother (Marie Van Tassell) insists that she drop Strong and promise herself to Gray instead. The heartbroken Strong heads to the mountains where he meets a miner called Uncle Jerry (William S. Hooser), and together they strike gold. Elsie, Gray and several friends visit a hunting lodge near Strong's cabin. Elsie runs into her former fiancée, but her mother has rubbed off on her; when she sees Strong's humble living quarters, she turns her back on him again. She comes to her senses, however, when a forest fire breaks out, and Gray turns coward. Elsie goes off to find Oliver, at which point a rainstorm puts out the fire and the couple is reunited.
