Synopsis by Janiss Garza
The antics of playboy Preston Platt (George Walsh) have become too much for his wealthy father (Herschel Mayall), and he cuts off his son's allowance. With a shrug, Preston decides to go to work and finds employment with a rich widow who wants him to examine a mining property. The owner of the mine has a daughter, Patricia (Doris Pawn), who is also works for the widow, as a secretary. Preston tricks everybody by faking an explosion at the mine, which is worthless, and planting some ore to make it look like a rich deposit has been uncovered. Among those fooled is Preston's father, who buys a half interest in the mine for $100,000. When he finds out he's been had, instead of being angry, he congratulates his son on his business savvy. Preston's allowance is reinstated and he marries Patricia.
