Synopsis by Janiss Garza
Louis wants to go out West and sketch the great outdoors and his adoring sister Ann (Lillian Walker) goes along only to humor him. They stay with their cousins, the Barnets, where ranch foreman Raymond (Evart Overton) saves Ann from the clutches of a brute. He gets shot because of his good deed, and while Ann nurses him back to health, that's about as far as her interest in him goes. So Raymond decides to go to Sky Town with Munro, a miner. Louis, who unlike Ann has become a firm fan of Raymond's, follows them. Ann goes after Louis and arrives in the middle of a strike between the miners and their employers. The state militia arrives and Raymond helps them end the skirmish. Raymond's actions impress Ann and she finally comes to appreciate him. This picture was adapted from the novel by Hamlin Garland.
