Synopsis by Hal Erickson
The heroine of this three-reel Lubin drama is a stenographer named Dolly Daniels. Dolly is in love with bookkeeper Jim Reynolds and in turn is loved by her wealthy employer Waverly Hamilton. Told by his doctor that he must take a trip West or risk losing his health, Jim despairs, knowing he hasn't the necessary funds for the trip. Dolly takes it upon herself to ask Waverly for the money; he agrees to fork over the cash, but only on the condition that Dolly become his wife. Out of concern for Jim, she agrees, though she will not allow herself to fall in love with her new husband. Only when she finds out that her beloved Jim is a conniver and blackmailer does Dolly realize what a treasure she has in Waverly.
