Synopsis by Hal Erickson

Filled with missionary zeal, wealthy heiress Juanita Holland (Elaine Hammerstein heads to the Cumberland mountains in hopes of teaching the locals to read and write. Instead, she lands in the middle of a long-standing family feud. Juanita attempts to patch up the feud by stage-managing the romance between the son of one family and the daughter of the other. Things blow up in our heroine's face when she is accused of killing a man during a dance party. She is rescued by mountain patriarch "Bad Anse" Havey (Lawon Butt), who as a result of his intervention is forced to take it on the lam. Havey fights off his pursuers with the help of Juanita, who by offering assistance to "her man" becomes a full-fledged "feudist" herself.
