Henry of Navarre (Matheson Lang) visits his mother (Madame D'Esterre) on her deathbed and is warned of a plot to murder him during his wedding to Marguerite de Valois (Gladys Jennings). The villainous Duke de Guise (Henry Victor) is in league with the conspirators and tries to seduce Marguerite before the wedding.
