synopsis
Originally aired on the BBC as Heart of Darkness, this program examines why minority groups and others are still being subjected to cruel acts of hatred in America. One segment takes an in-depth look at the horrible Texas dragging murder of James Byrd in June of 1998. William Pierce, author of The Turner Diaries, along with Charles Lee of the Ku Klux Klan and Pastor Neumann Britton of the Aryan Nations all discuss why they believe certain forms of racial pride and hatred can benefit society. Their views are challenged by the NAACP's Julian Bond, the Jewish Defense League's Irv Rubin, and many other respected authorities.
