Harry's Practice began as a recurring segment of the Australian "home and garden" series Burke's Backyard. A practicing veterinarian, Harry Cooper was shown traveling throughout the Commonwealth, offering advice to pet owners wherever he went. On his own half-hour series, Cooper was accompanied by his assistant Katrina Warren and his pet collie Rosie (who, alas, died in 2000). Debuting in 1997, Harry's Practice yielded 100 episodes.
