Synopsis by Janiss Garza
James Rokeby (Montagu Love) is a bank president with a pretty young ward, Marie Dacre (June Elvidge). Marie falls in love with a scoundrel named Fenwick Harvey (Arthur Ashley, who also directed), and ignores Rokeby's disapproval. Marie's guardian, it turns out, has a past as a burglar and, with the help of saloon owner Donovan (William Black), Harvey finds this out. He dredges up Rokeby's sordid history and causes him to go into hiding. Marie, who has finally realized Harvey's true nature, goes hunting for Rokeby but is trapped by her former boyfriend and Donovan. Rokeby rescues his ward and then finds out that his crimes have been pardoned by the governor. Amidst much relief, he returns to the bank and marries Marie.
