A visit to the local beauty salon yields a true "bonding" moment between mom Maggie (Joanna Kerns) and daughter Carol (Tracey Gold). In the course of the afternoon, the two ladies agree to share their innermost secrets, mutually promising never, ever to reveal those secrets to anyone. But when Carol reveals that, a few days earlier, she'd gone to a nightclub instead of visiting a friend as she'd claimed, Carol finds it impossible not to "rat out" her daughter to husband Jason (Alan Thicke)!
