Oliver (Eddie Albert) continues in his herculean efforts to improve the service of the Hooterville Phone Company, the ownership of which he has won (?) as the result of a lawsuit. Unfortunately, the utility isn't running any better than when he took over, and customers are complaining loudly. Making matters worse, Oliver is racing against time to get his tomato crop planted. Originally filmed as the third installment of a four-part story arc, this episode ended up being networkcast as the conclusion of the story.
