Synopsis by Janiss Garza
This expensively made German feature starred Mia May, who at the age of 35 was somewhat miscast in an ingenue type of role. Like many of the actress' films, this one was directed by her husband, Joe May. Mia May plays a young woman who meets a prince and gets the haunting feeling that although she has never seen him in this life, she knows him from another age. The couple's romance is troubled and the girl goes in search of a solution to her problems. She finds her answer when she is transported to the times of the Roman Empire, at the beginning of the Christian era. She is shown how, back then, she met and fell in love with the very same man. A small and seemingly insignificant lie of hers wound up condemning her lover to death. Watching the situation over again teaches the girl the lesson she needs to make her relationship with the prince work out.
