Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Grandad Rudd was the second entry in Australian filmmaker Ken G. Hall's brief but popular "Rudd Family" series. Local comedy favorite Bert Bailey stars as Granddad Rudd, a truculent and highly combative Aussie rancher. The story is minimal, merely a series of comic episodes linked together by Granddad's unique political views. The screenplay was adapted from a stage piece co-written by star Bailey and Steele Rudd. This modestly entertaining effort was regarded as a major improvement on the first Rudd pic, On Our Selection.
