Narrated by Pat Coombs, the animated British series Gran focused upon a feisty, fun-loving senior citizen. Utilizing stop-motion puppetry, the series showed the titular Gran getting into all manner of mischief, much to the dismay of her grown children but to the delight of her grandkids. Though British viewers may have trouble remembering the individual plot lines, the series' title theme was unforgettable (at least, no one who ever watched the show can shake it loose from the memory banks). Gran was doled out in ten-minute doses by BBC1 in 1982.
