In this documentary detailing Gould's landmark trip, the influential icon is captured as he gives a lecture and recital at Leningrad conservatory, and as he performs before appreciative audiences in both Leningrad and Moscow. Unreleased documents and photos from Gould's Department of Foreign Affairs "confidential" file offer a detailed account of his travels and experiences, and contemporary musicians, musicologists, and other prominent figures including Mstislav Rostropovich and Vladamir Ashkenazy discus the influence Gould has had over their illustrious careers.
