Synopsis by Janiss Garza
This little drama about two orphans was not terribly exciting. After the death of their mother, Nancy and Ellen Grimm (Violet MacMillan and Barbara Conley) are taken to a children's home, where they are separated. Little Ellen is adopted by wealthy Mrs. Walsh (Gertrude Astor), while Nancy, the older child, is taken in by a poor couple. When Nancy finds out where Ellen is, she disguises herself as a boy and runs away. She kidnaps her sister and tries to make a home for her, but she can only dodge the authorities for so long, and Ellen is found and taken back to the home. Another couple adopts the little girl, so Nancy goes to Chester Noble, a young man who has befriended her (Percy Pembroke). With the help of Noble's uncle, a lawyer, and his warm-hearted parents, Nancy's problems are solved -- the Nobles adopt the two girls, and the sisters are reunited.
