Synopsis by Hal Erickson

The Girl I Left Behind Me was adapted from the stage play by David Belasco. Set in the Wild West, it is the story of the romance between a young cavalry lieutenant (Robert Edeson) and a general's daughter (Claire Whitney). Unfortunately, the general has already selected a husband for the girl. What the general doesn't know is that his chosen son-in-law is a cad and a philanderer. Alas, the hero cannot prove this, since he has been falsely accused of cowardice and has been cashiered from the service. It takes several reels before the hero is vindicated, the heroine won, and the villain thwarted. Filmed on location in Montana, The Girl I Left Behind Me was highlighted by a spectacular Indian attack.
