Synopsis by Rovi
During an annual charity auction, Jess (Milo Ventimiglia) outbids Dean (Jared Padalecki) for Rory's picnic basket -- meaning that Rory (Alexis Bledel) will have to eat lunch with Jess while a jealous Dean fumes on the sidelines. Conversely, Jackson (Jackson Douglas) refuses to even bid on the basket prepared by his girlfriend, Sookie (Melissa McCarthy), until she makes a complete and irreversable commitment to him. And busybody Miss Patty (Liz Torres) tries to fix up Lorelai (Lauren Graham) with three bidders whom no other woman in town will have anything to do with. Rounding out the intrigues are Lane (Keiko Agena) and Henry (Eddie Shin) whose relationship is strained by the presence of Lane's hyper-protective mother. Believe it or not, at least some of the subplots in this episode are destined to end happily.
