Synopsis by Sandra Brennan

The camera is the real star of this drama, set during WW II. The story begins when a photographer stationed in Germany must leave his camera unattended when the battle he films gets too intense. As the camera shoots on, it captures many scenes of death and misery. The cameraman returns home and tries to show people the film, his slides, and tell them about the destruction over there. But the people close their eyes and ears and hearts. He then goes to the U.S., marries a woman and settles down in Illinois. She dies in childbirth. The embittered man soon begins jeering at soldiers at a missile base. The shoot him. As he dies, his tripod continues to run.
