Synopsis by Janiss Garza
Young Lester Cope (Gareth Hughes) is too clever for his own good -- his lies and tall tales are constantly getting him into trouble. Finally he pulls one prank too many -- driving around, yelling that the dam has burst, Paul Revere fashion -- and the townsfolk insist that he be sent to a reformatory. Instead, his mother (Margaret McWade) sends him to a doctor who cures his patients through hypnosis. Lester returns home incapable of telling a lie -which is even worse than when he was telling whoppers. Eventually he finds a happy medium and wins the mayor's daughter, but by then his blunt truths have confounded the populace.
