A Game with Fate offers a few new twists to a timeworn plot device. Wealthy clubman Robert Harwell (Harry T. Morey) wagers with a friend that he can get himself charged with murder on fabricated evidence then beat the rap with an impassioned courtroom defense. In one respect, he succeeds and is put on trial for his life. Alas, Harwell's defense strategy falls through when his jilted sweetheart Elaine Huntington (Betty Blythe refuses to produce the documents that would clear his name. As time runs short, Harwell nervously begins his "long walk" to the electric chair, his fate resting solely in the hands of a Woman Scorned.
