Synopsis by Hal Erickson
Of the many fire-fighting films released in 1926, Frenzied Flames may well have been the cheapest. Cullen Landis, who appeared in several of these things, stars as rookie fireman Danny Grogan. Though well-liked by his colleagues, Danny is openly despised by one of the smoke-eaters, who has a yen for our hero's sweetheart. But during the climactic outsized blaze, Danny rescues both the rival and the girl, and all ends happily -- but not before the rival is given a sound trouncing for his past misdeeds. As was often the case in films of this nature, most of the budget of Frenzied Flames was expended on the last-reel conflagration.
