Synopsis by Janiss Garza
A stranger (Harry Carey) comes to the Western town of Broken Buckle, but discovers that the gambling hall there is crooked. He decides to open up an honest one of his own, but town school teacher Zoe Whipple (Helen Ferguson) wants him to do something more positive with himself. Denver Red, the proprietor of the already existing hall (Charles LeMoyne) has his own reasons for halting the stranger. But Carey persists, and the day comes when he opens his new establishment -- only it's not a gambling hall at all, but a library and school. In a gunfight, the stranger sends Denver Red packing, and wins Zoe's love. This was a rather tame entry for star Carey and director John Ford.
